” YOU CAN NEVER TAKE TOO MUCH CARE OVER THE CHOICE OF YOUR SHOES .TOO MAY WOMEN THINK THEY THEY ARE UNIMPORTANT BUT THE REAL PROOF OF AN ELEGANT WOMAN IS WHAT ON HER FEET “- CHRISTIAN DIOR

Rewind to A/W 18 when the likes of Fendi, Isabel Marant, Calvin Klein and Off White, just to name a few, were reinventing that classic silhouette of a cowboy boot. Since then the trend has been spotted on and off the runway and it shows no sign of slowing down. Such micro trends are easy to be adopted by fashion designers hence we keep seeing them reappearing season to season in different interpretations and styles, as proved by brands like Max Mara, Choe and Port 1961. When this trend came back it got me really excited even though my style is not trend led at all. What got me excited was the fact that I knew somewhere in storage I had a pair of black and classic cut Steven Madden western boots. I like how diverse you can style the western boots. They look good with almost anything, from dresses, skirts, shorts and even jeans. I teamed mine with a Zara dress to achieve my signature combo of all black.

TIP: The secret in wearing a trendy item like these western boots is to break it down by keeping it simple and styling it with classic pieces. Too much western complimentary pieces will have you looking like a rodeo clown or Woody from the Toy Story.
