The last time I visited Phuket, Thailand was in 2017 alone after my husband pulled out last minute on our long overdue holiday. He encouraged me to still go after a very difficult pregnancy I needed to recharge. And that I did and enjoyed Phuket so much so that when we got invited to a family wedding we decided to go and this time not only my husband came but our two kids. The wedding celebration also doubled up as a family vacation. We flew with Cathay Pacific Airways via Hong Kong and for the first 3 days we stayed at the Marriott Resort and Spa in Nai Yang Beach, followed by another 3 days at Naiyang Park Resort and finally staying at the Holiday Inn Resort in Mai Khao Beach. During our holiday we stayed along the beaches so that the whole time we can just spend our days either lazing out by the pool or have kids build the sand castles on the beach. There is so much to do in Phuket. My advise will be to do research on what activities and excursions to do and how much they will cost. To get an idea of what you may like to try while on holiday, try using hash tags on social media but also hotels and resorts are at first hand with information on what to explore locally. For grown ups you can try the Sunset Dinner Cruise by Andaman Sea Cruise Company and for the whole family the Phuket Attractions City Tours have endless choices to choose from like the Mini City Tours which includes visiting places like the Big Buddha, Phuket Aquarium, the Markets and Chalong Temple just to name a few. And for those who are real water babies tours in Phi Phi Island, Bamboo, Maya Bay and Khai Nai Island are a must where you can enjoy snorkelling and speed boats. The list is endless. Since this was not my first visit to Phuket I took time to enjoy the beach especially in the early evenings just watching sunset over dinner and a cocktail in one hand. With so many different islands and beaches in Thailand one is definitely spoilt for choice on these sunsets. All you have to do is just take a moment , enjoy the views, relax and take it all in.
