” SOMETIMES UNEXPECTED EVENTS CAN END UP BEING LIFE BLESSINGS ” – BETH ELKASSIH

Embarking on a road trip from Melbourne to Sydney is an adventure itself, with scenic landscapes, quaint towns and endless opportunities for explorations. However sometimes the most memorable experiences are the unexpected ones, like being besieged by mosquitos while staying in motels along the way. Our journey began in Melbourne, where we packed up the car with snacks, maps and a sense of excitement for the open road. As we drove out of the city the country side unfolded before us, with lush greenery and rolling hills painting the landscape. Our first stop was in a charming hotel nestled in the country side, where we hoped to rest and recharge before continuing our journey. However, our peaceful night was disrupted by the incessant buzzing of mosquitos. Despite our best effort to keep them at bay with repellent and mosquito nets, they seemed determined to feast on our blood. We woke up with the next morning covered in itchy bites, a testament to our nocturnal battle with pesky insects. Undeterred , we pressed on, eager to explore more of the Australian country side.

Along the way, we stopped in quaint towns and roadside diners, sampling local delicacies and soaking in the laid back atmosphere. The stunning coastal views and rugged cliffs reminded us why road trips are such a beloved past time. But as night fell, so did the onslaught of mosquitoes. Each motel we stayed in seemed to have it own population of blood thirsty insects, leaving us feeling like unwilling participants in a horror movie. Despite the discomfort, we couldn’t help but laugh at the absorption of our situation, bonding over our shared struggle against nature’s tiny predators.

Despite the mosquito bites and occasional discomfort, our road trip trop Melbourne to Sydney was an unforgettable experience. It taught us to embrace the unexpected and find joy in the journey even when things do go according to plan. And as we finally arrived in Sydney, tired but exhilarated, we knew that we had created memories that would last a lifetime.
