We all want great and glowing skin all year round. When it comes to my skin I have been very lucky that I have never had problems with it besides that one or two pimple(s) I get during that time of the month (if you one of the lucky ladies that do not get them please share your secret). Over the years I have learnt to take care of my skin both inside and outside in order to maintain a healthy glow all year round. The known fact when it comes to skincare products and treatments is that your skin will never be perfect if you are not eating right.
Good and healthy skincare start from what we eat daily. Some people even suggests that you are what you eat. What you put in your mouth is as important as the product you use on the outside. I have my skincare food essentials I eat daily without fail to boost my skincare regimes and daily routines. I call these my Intake Boosters. I did my own research online and in books and tried few things before I settled on these ( My advice please talk to your GP after your research before you introduced changes which may affect your health ).
SALMON
Salmon has fats rich in omega 3’s and so easy to prepare. Grilled , boiled or panfried there are so many variations of how to serve it. In addition Salmon also has Vitamin D, Vitamin B, Protein and biotin important for producing healthy skin.
AVOCADO
A lot of research has shown great benefits of eating this fruit. I prefer mine on it own , crushed on toast or with eggs and smoked salmon. If I don’t feel like chewing I use it on my smoothies. Research shows that the benefits you get from eating avocados are Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Omega 9 and Carotenoids.
CHAI SEEDS
Where do I even begin with these tasteless little seeds? I sprinkle them on anything I am eating and drinking. Their benefit are amazing for overall mortality.
WALNUTS
I have dry skin so I once read somewhere that eating or snacking on these can help sooth dry skin and even fight signs of ageing. I always have a handful in my bag to snack on them when I feel peckish.
WATER
I do not need to go too much in details with this one. Since we were babies we are all told water is good for you. It is great for flushing out the toxins and impurities. Personally I am not a good soldier when it comes to drinking water especially in winter time. So I have come up with few ideas to up my intake like drinking hot water when offered tea. I also prefer sparkling to still and I am yet to research if one is better than the other.I hope this article has helped you to start your own research on what will be great for your skin.
