The past few weeks I have been focusing so hard on my final year work at University where I am doing a BA Degree in Fashion Designing. Like any final year student will tell you, final year is a killer. The amount of work you get given is absolutely an over kill. It doesn’t help if you are a mom of two like myself and also work full-time. When an opportunity of spending a weekend in Gloucestershire came about I had to jump at it. I needed a break. This was a perfect combination of mixing business with pleasure. The little gate-way was at Hotel Du Vin & Bistro Cheltenham. I had an opportunity to attend a business event, followed by socialising over wine and dinner. They normally say never ever mix business with pleasure but after my successful weekend of doing just that , I am beginning to think differently about the real meaning behind it.
When we arrived at Hotel Du Vin & Bistro I was welcomed with so much warmth from the reception staff and was made very comfortable. We then went on to have some tea to take the chills from the cold weather outside. Given how the weather has been lately I was so happy that the organisers of the event have thought about a venue that have everything that we needed in one roof.
Hotel Du Vin Cheltenham is a luxurious boutique hotel in Montpelier district in Cheltenham. The hotel features stunning 49 individually decorated and distinctive rooms and suites. We started our day with a meeting held in one of their meeting rooms called Sinners Enclosure, a stunning space filled with natural light and traditional features such as high ceilings and traditional fireplace. Early evening we followed with a private wine tasting of fine wines in the Laroche wine tasting room and we finished it by tucking into a lovely prepared mouth watering dinner at their Bistro. This was definitely a weekend business break that made me feel like royalty.
