“YOUR SKIN IS YOUR BEST ACCESSORY TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT”
As most of you guys know I do favour most Elemis products I will clearify that this blog post is not sponsored by Elemis. Now we have got that out of the way let get to what this blog is about. Micellar Water vs Toner. My friend inspired my blog after our conversation about if she should use both in her skincare routine. My respond to her was it is up to her but I will recommend she does given she uses makeup daily. MICELLAR WATER:
Where do I even begin with this “miracle water”. It is definitely one of my step in my skincare routine day or night. And use it as step no 4. in my Korean 10 steps. What is it? Micellar water is like a 3 in 1 product hence I call it “miracle” water. I say this because it can work as a facial wash, a light makeup remover and a cleanser itself especially when you are travelling. It draws out all the remaining dirt out of your skin after the first cleanse/wash. How it used : Just douse cotton ball with micellar water and sweep all over your face and neck avoiding the eye area. No rinsing is required. ** Most brands/products will have clear instructions on how to use their products. TONER
On the other hand the toner preps/balances your skin to allow serum and moisturiser to penetrate the skin much deeper and faster. I use the toner as step no 5. in skincare routine. Our skin tend to lose pH balance after being washed or cleansed and to return it balance a toner can be used. What is it? Toner unclog pores by removing oil and traces of dirt and grime trapped in your skin. It also shrinks the pores. I highly recommend it for those who use make up daily. How it used: You tend to use it after micellar water but if you not following any routine you can use it straight after wash/cleanser. Just put it in your face using a cotton ball but some brands can be mist or spritz over face.
