” THE WORLD IS A BOOK AND THOSE WHO DO NOT TRAVEL READ ONLY ONE PAGE” – ST AUGUSTINE.

It was so good to start 2022 with a bang. In February we visited Edinburgh Scotland with a friend. It was a last minute decision and we decided on a road trip to Edinburgh. We book ourselves at the Dunstane House a boutique hotel with an authentic Scottish soul. The Dunstane Houses compromise of two houses. The Dunstane House and a sister house across the road the Hampton House.

LOCATION

We drove from South Wales to Edinburgh and the Dunstane House was so easy to find. On arrival after dropping the bags we were able to walk to central for an early breakfast. There’s also a bus stop right outside the hotel making the hotel’s location perfect for those who want to explore the city using the local transportation.

SERVICE

From the moment we got in touch by email to book our stay the service was brilliant. We were asked and given choice on which house we wanted to book into. The hotel has a free of charge parking and WIFI. We arrived very early and on hearing we have driven from Wales we were offered an 11 a.m. check in.

INTERIORS AND DECOR

The hotel’s interiors and decor is a mixture of Scottish and Parisian decor which makes the hotel very classy and intimate. The use of Scottish tweed across the hotel compliments the bold rugs and French panelling so well, and it gives the hotel a luxurious feel. And the whole place was super clean.

ROOM

Our room was very clean, cozy and very comfortable. In terms of what one will need in a hotel room no detail was spared. The bed was very comfortable.
